An underwater diving scooter can be used for recreation; but it can also be used to help marine biologists track the movement and population of coral reefs, manta rays, other ocean life, as well as track other negative factors affecting our oceans.
MOBULA can be the bridge between these two worlds.

MATERIALS
IDEATION
In ideation the form started off to literal to a manta ray and needed to be simplified.
The goal was to refine the form to be as simple as possible. While also sketching out the little details of an automatic shut-off switch, hollow propellors, and HMI
REFINEMENT
Direct Current Turbines powered by a 40V Lithium Ion Battery that is attached to the bottom of MOBULA. The Nickel plates and Copper bearings allow the turbines to spin at high speeds to compress water, while staying in place.
POWER
SIGHT
With the large electric battery. MOBULA is able to power two flashlights to help see darker depths underwater as well as provide clarity to the large camera. The camera allows user to take clear photos and videos to record the ocean environment.
